About

Vinny ILL, aka Vincent Dubuis, is a versatile artist based in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Mainly self-taught, he has built up a solid experience on stage and in the studio since the 90s. After starting out as a drummer in punk-grunge bands, he launched his solo project in 2015, mixing guitar, everyday objects and a DIY approach.

His musical universe, influenced by punk, folk, blues and No Wave, explores raw emotions and sonic experimentation. His debut album, Nocturnal Digressions (2017), bears witness to this artistic quest, with notable collaborations including Pierre Omer, David Weber and Philippe Castella. In 2024, he continued his journey by combining music, theater and cinema, taking part in projects such as Beth B‘s Glowing Exhibition in Berlin.

In 2025, he developed a new performance project based on his amplified live heartbeats: Pulse! which premiered on January 12, 2025 at the ABC cultural center, invited by Dejan Gacond and Lydia Lunch.

In June 2025, he was welcomed in residence at Les Subs in Lyon by artist No Anger for a new creation with Marine Relinger. He also took part in No Anger’s Quasimodo aux Miroirs as a live musician.

He is currently finishing his second album, and is also collaborating on a project with Little Annie Bandez .
